What's in it?

As a woman, mother and a consumer of many health and beauty products over the years, I understand the importance of knowing exactly what is in the products I am using on my family and myself.. As our skin acts like a sponge, I believe it is crucial to ensure that the products it absorbs are safe, non-toxic, natural and chemical free and this is why all ingredients used in Earth + ember products are of the highest quality.

All aspects of Earth + ember, right down to our packaging, are vegan friendly, cruelty free, eco-friendly, and ethically sourced.

Below is a list of the ingredients used in our products and what their benefits are. If you have any further questions about our products please send me a message. I would be more than happy to chat with you about them.

Fractionated Coconut Oil
A natural carrier oil that readily absorbs into the skin, making it an ideal oil for topical application. It’s doesn’t smell or leave a residue on clothing and it has a softening effect that provides a soothing barrier without clogging pores. Excellent for dry skin like mine!
What does fractionated mean? In this process, a fraction of the oil is extracted, creating one that is absolutely saturated. This oil concentrates the natural acids, leaving it in its liquid state and allows it to last longer.

Essential Oils
Essential oils are highly concentrated plant extracts (1 drop of Peppermint oil equates to 28 cups of peppermint tea), that carry the actual essence of the plant which they come from. Most possess powerful medicinal qualities, and as such should be used with care. When using essential oils it is important to use only 100% pure, organic essential oils. The essential oils used in Earth + ember products are carefully and thoroughly tested using the strict Certified Pure Therapeutic Grade quality protocol. Plants are grown and harvested in their natural environment. This ensures the raw material used for the oils is of the highest standards. Once harvested, the plant material is either steam distilled or cold pressed to create the purest oil. There are no fillers, preservatives or additives. This high level of purity ensures safety of use.

I don't recommend using essential oils on sensitive areas of the body (eyes, inside ears & genitals) however if essential oils get in your eyes or cause skin irritation please do not wash out with water, flush and dilute the area with a safe carrier oil to allievate discomfort. If irritation persists, please consult a doctor.

Witch Hazel
Witch Hazel is a topical astringent derived from the witch-hazel shrub. Witch Hazel posseses quite a few medicinal properties such as reducing skin irritations, bruises, cleaning and healing wounds, sunburn and many more. Witch hazel also makes a very effective natural house hold cleaner which is why it is used in most of our "Your Home" collection.

Aloe Vera
Aloe Vera is widely known to relieve sunburn and help heal wounds. The succulent has a long history of being used for medicinal purposes but researchers are just beginning to unlock all benefits of this universal plant and its many by-products. We have used Aloe Vera in our "Healing Mama" perineal spray due its soothing and healing properties. I recommend storing the spray in the fridge to enhance its cooling effect.

All these natural ingredients are safely diluted and lovingly hand poured into Australian made amber glass bottles.
